Who are we?

The membership of the New Mexico Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NMAND) are advocates of the dietetics profession and serve the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being. NMAND represents more than 300 members practicing throughout New Mexico. NMAND is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association), the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. The Academy serves the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being.

The NMAND promotes optimal nutrition and well-being for all people in New Mexico by advocating for its members and related services.

Our Vision:

NMAND members are the leading source of nutrition and dietetic services.

Goals:

• To be recognized as the experts in areas of food, nutrition, and dietetics

• To build and engage membership in the association

• To influence nutrition related policy initiatives

• To develop partnerships with groups and/or organizations that share common mission, vision, and values related to the areas of food, nutrition, dietetics and health.
